Community members, activists, and local leaders gather to celebrate democracy and the rule of law
SAVANNAH, GA – March 20, 2026 – Savannah Indivisible, a local grassroots organization committed to protecting democratic values and civil rights, will host the “No Kings” rally on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in partnership with the ACLU of Georgia. The event will unite community members, activists, and elected officials to send a clear message: no one is above the law, and Savannah stands strong for democracy.
The No Kings rally will feature remarks from a distinguished group of community advocates, including:
- Brian Bryant, International President of IAM Union
- Kendra Clark, Community Advocate and Candidate for Georgia House District 165
- Sarah Hunt-Blackwell, ACLU, First Amendment Policy Advocate
- Chadrick Mance, Attorney
- Christian Wise Smith, Attorney, Author and Candidate for Georgia Labor Commissioner
“The No Kings rally reaffirms the fundamental principle that in America, no person, no politician, and no president is above the law,” said Suzanne Potts, Chair of Savannah Indivisible. “We invite every Savannahian who shares that belief to join us on March 28.”
The No Kings event will take place in Emmet Park on Saturday, March 28. Start time is 1 p.m. After the speakers conclude, there will be a march through a predetermined route into the city that will end at Bull St and Bay St. The rally is free and open to the public. Savannah Indivisible will provide security and facilities to ensure a peaceful, nonviolent experience.
In Savannah Indivisible tradition, the event will also include a food drive to benefit From All Angels, a weekly food pantry run out of Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. Those wishing to donate should consult the group’s list of recommended items.
The event page on the Savannah Indivisible will include information on parking, bathrooms, and march route before the event.
Non-Violence Policy
A core principle behind all of our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
